Talk:On the Trail of the Kaplan's Killer... (comic story)

According to some, this story is called Penelope Takes Up The Search.[1][2] – n8 (☎) 15:18, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- I think this and Stingray are in the same realm as "Doctor Who (TV story)". If it conflicted with some other TV story only known as Doctor Who, we would probably rely on a title given in later reference works, like The TV Movie or The Enemy Within; but it doesn't, so we haven't. If it becomes a source of confusion we could use the other name, though, much as we do for most The Daleks stories. Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 16:15, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- As I put it at Talk:Stingray (comic story), all of these TV 21 comic story titles are sourced from later reference works or reprints. The conflict has already happened a dozen times; it doesn't make any sense to ignore the reference titles for this story but none of the others. – n8 (☎) 17:24, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- I agree with Nate that this page should be renamed. As he put it, most of these titles are sourced from later works so stories like The Return of Mr. Steelman and The Vanishing Ray do technically conflict. It seems silly for consistency and searchability to leave just this one like this. Instead of Penelope Takes Up The Search, though, might I suggest On the Trail of the Kaplan's Killer...? It's the name from Action 21 (which is probably the closest reprint to the DWU) and would also be a nice parallel to the Stingray story from this arc. Borisashton ☎ 18:49, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, this makes sense. Rename carried out! Scrooge MacDuck ⊕ 23:00, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
