Talk:Ood

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

"The hindbrain enabled them to connect to a single large brain, which coordinated individual Ood." This is incorrect. The hindbrain gave them their individuality, as The Doctor explained the first time they saw natural Ood. If they required a hindbrain to communicate with the large brain then the red eye "infection" couldn't have happened because it was the central brain that caused it and the slave Ood had no hindbrains.

New Time Lords?[[edit source]]

Could the ood be the replacements for the time lords? They both share similar powers and attitudes. They are both telepathic, they both have long lifespans, they both have two of the one organ(time lord-two hearts, ood-two brains) and they both share a hive mind. Another point is that they were introduced after the time war. Of course this is just becuase nobody thought about them until Russell T Davies but an in-universe reason could be that time needed a species to support it after the time lords died out and so made the ood.--Coop3 01:26, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

The Ood appearance in Hell Bent[[edit source]]

An Ood can clearly be seen in the Matrix in Hell Bent. I added this to the page last year with pictures but it now seems to have been removed. Is there a reason for this? Xx-connor-xX 12:40, December 3, 2016 (UTC)

I couldn't see them, could you provide an image? -- Denchen: Lord of all that is invalid 12:43, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
Here you go! It is at 25:28, took me awhile to find it again! Xx-connor-xX 13:11, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
Good find. It may return to the page. -- Denchen: Lord of all that is invalid 13:13, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
