Talk:Prophecy

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Proposed deletion[[edit source]]

Is this page really necessary? They all seem to be about Series 4, yet the headline refers to "During the course of Doctor Who". Seems a little unnecessary to me. Tardis1963 07:34, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

I completely disagree with deletion, but agree that the article's currently way too television- (not to mention RTD-) -centric. The Glass Prison gives us great material on prophecy, for example. Off the top of my head, The Myth Makers has Vicki accused of prophecy when she's just from the future. The article is very much a stub, and needs plenty more content.

Not prophecies[[edit source]]

Heavily cleaned up examples from The Fires of Pompeii.

Because of this, they made some startling prophecies about the Doctor and Donna's futures and pasts. (TV: The Fires of Pompeii)
  • Evelina told that the Doctor and Donna were not who they said they were, that the Doctor's name was not 'Spartacus' as he had told her and that Donna called herself Noble, her last name. She also said they both came from far away.
  • She also predicted that the name 'Doctor' was false and that his true name was hidden in the Cascade of Medusa herself.
  • She predicted the Doctor's true nature.
  • Evelina's prediction about the Doctor's name was likely about the Medusa Cascade, where Davros named the Doctor the "Destroyer of Worlds." (TV: Journey's End)

I mean, prophecies of the Doctor and Donna's pasts? Predicting that the Doctor's name is false and his nature is hidden? -- Tybort (talk page) 13:07, November 29, 2014 (UTC)
