Talk:Rosita Farisi

Source of the name[[edit source]]

The controversy over the "Born Again" title has placed some doubts as to the accuracy of Companions and Allies. It is official only insofar as it is a licensed product. I'd feel more comfortable if another source such as the script or RTD were cited as supporting the name. 23skidoo 19:44, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

I don't agree with the Born Again title, but that wasn't in the Time Traveller's Almanac, that was in the Companions and Allies Guide. RTD has said Rosita's surname is Farisi on a different occaision. I think. -- Will101 19:46, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

Rosita as a development of the name Rose[[edit source]]

An unsourced note from the BTS was removed, which said the name Rosita came from Rose and Martha's names. The Martha claim is a strange one, but I've always seen it as strongly implied in The Next Doctor that, somehow, Jackson identified Rosita with borrowed memories of the Doctor's lost Rose. The Doctor actually goes, "Rosita. Good name. Hello, Rosita," in the same scene scene that's poking fun at Jackson's understanding of "companion" and "TARDIS" (or alluding to this). Of course, if we add anything to that effect, it should at least be with a source that proves that many have interpreted this that way.

Rename[[edit source]]

Her full name Rosita Farisi is used in The Time Lord Letters, Letter #46 "I Am Glad It Was You...", so the page can be moved to that title now that a valid source corroborates it. Toqgers 08:37, April 30, 2020 (UTC)

It's been a while and I don't think anyone has any objections. If an admin has time, could they please rename this page? Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 23:43, June 4, 2020 (UTC)
