Talk:Ryder (Planet of the Ood)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

I thought Ryder's demise was one of the more disturbing scenes in this series. Not just being "eaten" by the Ood Brain. That kind of death is par for the course for this show. My problem instead lies with the fact Ryder was a good guy... but so, ostensibly, was the Ood Brain. He gets killed by the very thing he was so selflessly attempting to help, and this goes pretty much uncommented on. Why did the Brain even "eat" him? Was it pure reflex? Did it even actually "eat" him in a sense we know, or did he just slip in between the hemispheres and get smothered? How are we to reconcile the Ood Brain killed Ryder, even accidentally, with it being supposedly good? Kooshmeister talk to me 17:07, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

That was me, I'd forgotten to sign in. I wasn't up on the rules so forgive my ignorance and my rudeness as well. I'll relegate story discussion to forums or other appropriate places from now on. Kooshmeister talk to me 20:58, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
