Non speaking[[edit source]]
I know it's a touchy subject but speaking sign language is still non speaking, most non speaking actors gest and point, it's a form of communication but not through speech aka speak. I believe for her not to be included, the category name should be reconsidered. - Denchen: Lord of Invalidness ☎ 21:21, December 1, 2016 (UTC)
- Well she is speaking a language; it's not just gesturing. For a few seconds I did accept that she might be a non-speaking actor, but that just didn't sit well with me. It almost seems a bit demeaning, when she clearly has a lot of lines and she's a really central character in two episodes. We just have to have her words translated for us (unless we already understand BSL, of course). But I am certainly open to having the category re-added if that ends up being the consensus here.
× SOTO (☎/✍/↯) 21:26, December 1, 2016 (UTC)- I agree with SOTO. Non-speaking is understood to mean "no lines". This actress has lines, and delivers them in another language. If necessary, we can specify the distinction on the two category pages. Shambala108 ☎ 21:30, December 1, 2016 (UTC)
