Delete or rename[[edit source]]

Nothing links here, and the information is in the Series Pages, and also on category pages. Mini-mitch 21:15, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

The above was a vote for delete, by the user who put the delete tag up.
Was going to merely second Mini-mitch and be on my way. But, actually, now that I think of it, we do need an article that's simply "story arc" under Category:Terminology. We could then do List of story arcs to branch off from that, including a chart with the various story arcs in various media. Some of this information could sit well there. While I'm clearly not going to take down the delete template, I'm going to put up the "rename" template. CzechOut | 21:36, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Delete or merger[[edit source]]

We've been here before as the above discussion shows. Once more I'm suggesting either delete or merger with story arc. The story arc page can be extended out with information on this page, though would need to be better cited than this page is currently. This page currently has very few links to it and beyond being a "list of" page provides little information about the these arcs. --Tangerineduel / talk 13:38, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

I vote Delete, and here is why. It is very hard to define what constitutes a story arc. Is it just any idea that lasts for more than one title? I think that's actually hard to home in on.
The page itself claims that these stories don't even have to go in a row. So any three stories across any mediums that have any connections is now considered an arc?
I'm for deletion almost entirely on how hard it is to define the word "arc" when it comes to comics. OS25 (Talk) 17:05, May 4, 2017 (UTC)
I'm for TD's 2013 suggestion. Merge this into story arc, to expand it with specific examples which are ideally sourced. So rather than making value judgements, we can cite the source that interprets such and such as an arc, or say that Moffat (or whoever) positively identified it as such in this issue of DWM.

Kembel Arc[[edit source]]

Are we sure that Galaxy 4 and The Myth Makers are part of this Kembel arc? I don't see how they'd fit in. Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 17:57, August 22, 2020 (UTC)

They have absolutely nothing to do with Kembel and should be removed. -- Saxon (✉️) 18:02, August 22, 2020 (UTC)

Novels[[edit source]]

Do any of the New Series novels tie into any televised story arc from the New Series? I've heard whisperings that some allude to the televised story arcs, but I haven't found any in the ones I own. Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 00:11, September 9, 2020 (UTC)

Touched by an Angel fits thematically in with Series 6. Tell me if you want me to go into detail. Epsilon the Eternal 00:15, September 9, 2020 (UTC)

Well, not necessarily thematically, since that's not technically a story arc, but more referencing the story arc, like a "Bad Wolf" somewhere or something like that, for example.(Although, I do own Touched and agree with you 100% on the themes front)

But this does also provide a question: How should we handle multi-media story arcs? <redacted by admin per Tardis:Spoiler policy> is coming soon, after all. Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 01:07, September 9, 2020 (UTC)

Make a new category for it, multi media? I mean, we would be making one if we treated them as distinct story arcs as well, since it includes The Hollow Planet (escape game) and A Dalek Awakens (escape game), so we'd need an escape game story arc section. Far more interesting a question, in my mind, is if we tack on already existing stories to the new story arc (so The Waters of Mars (TV story)), when it's clear that at the time they were written they weren't intended to be part of this larger arc. Najawin 04:06, September 9, 2020 (UTC)

Actually, that is a pretty interesting question. It's even trickier since, unlike most other stuff, there's no one definitive vision. I'd say to include it, but what does everyone else think? Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 22:22, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

Why is the stenza listed as a story arc
