Valid source on this page?[[edit source]]

How come some information on this page comes from a valid source, when this is clearly a NOTVALID page? Danochy 07:07, July 26, 2019 (UTC)

Fixed, thanks for bringing it to our attention Shambala108 14:57, July 26, 2019 (UTC)
Wait. If they're mentioned in a valid source, shouldn't that belong in the main body of the page, with all this invalid stuff put in the Bts? – N8 01:46, July 27, 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd have thought so too, which is why I brought it up here rather than removing it myself. Danochy 04:36, July 27, 2019 (UTC)
This is a problem that has cropped up elsewhere — most notably with Dr. Who (Dr. Who and the Daleks), which should be primarily about the original Cushing character whom we call invalid, and thus bears the Invalid tag, but also has a meaty section concerning references to him within valid media.
There is, of course, also Tannis, which is the opposite — the minuscule main body is inhabited by references to the character in valid source, while his original and much more plot-relevant appearance in Death Comes to Time is just a note in the behind-the-scenes section.
In my opinion, we should probably split in all such cases, just like we have both Seventh Doctor and Seventh Doctor (Death Comes to Time). --Scrooge MacDuck 09:29, July 27, 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for providing an insight into how this sort of situation has been handled by the Wiki in the past, it's certainly interesting, and I'd probably agree with the case-by-case basis decision-making that appears to be the norm. I'm not really too concerned with how this is resolved, however, just that the in-universe information does have a page.
On another note, I'm not really familiar with the convention for resolving such a situation, since this page risks going stale until someone stumbles upon it by chance several years down the line, unless a decision is made soon. Danochy 09:59, July 28, 2019 (UTC)
