Talk:The Companion Chronicles

Images[[edit source]]

Are the image of each cover really necessary? They seem more of a hindrance to be, because:

  1. They need to be regularly updated.
  2. They slow the page's loading time.

Sure, they look nice, but a simple click will take you onto the articles page and you can view the cover there. If we do keep them, surely they should also be shown on the Big Finish Doctor Who audio stories page, and that would be even slower. I think it's best to simply delete them. Anyone object?--Skittles the hog - talk 18:04, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

  • 1. This is not true. Whenever BF uploads a cover, it's added to the respective audio's page. This would simply be added to the process. 2. Whilst it may slow the page's loading time by a small margin, it makes scrolling to find a particular title notably faster than without covers. As for the Main Range's page, it's simply that it's an hour's worth of work by my estimation and I haven't the time to do it just yet. 68.36.251.214 13:10, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

Well, your first point just supports my argument as you admit it would be further work. There is no real benefit to having the images on this page and so they should/shall be removed. Don't add them to the monthly page as your just wasting your time.--Skittles the hog - talk 13:19, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

Can be the cast be added as a column?[[edit source]]

With few exceptions, it's two actors, and often different from the characters featured. Such as in Here There Be Monsters, Carole Ann Ford plays Susan Foreman/Rostrum and Stephen Hancock plays The First Mate, whereas The First Doctor, Susan, Barbara, Ian, and the First Mate are featured.

I don't want to put a lot of work into it if it's discouraged by convention. Setacourse 17:43, April 20, 2016 (UTC)
