Deletion

I don't know much about the prior discussion, but I do think a page like this should exist - and even more so for sonic screwdrivers, which absolutely don't appear in every episode. Of course, the lists of individual interiors and exteriors are more useful, but if you want a comprehensive list of everything that's ever featured it, there ought to be somewhere to find it. Of course, if there was a discussion which formally ruled this page couldn't exist, I suppose I'd concede, but I'd still disagree with the conclusion. Cookieboy 2005 ☎ 23:12, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

The talk page for the sonic screwdriver list of appearances still exists: Talk:The Doctor's sonic screwdriver - list of appearances.

And in it User:SOTO agrees that a Doctor's TARDIS list of appearances would be nonsensical.

I concur with the delete tag's sentiments that it would be hard to maintain an accuracy or present useful information. --Tangerineduel / talk 06:27, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

But surely it being hard shouldn't be reason for it to be removed? Even if it's unlikely people will be able to easily look through it due to its length, I stand by this page existing being better than it not existing. Cookieboy 2005 ☎ 13:12, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

If I might offer a middle ground, we now have a bunch of narrower pages like TARDIS exterior (An Unearthly Child)/Appearances. I submit that this page could act as a hub for these, like The Doctor/Appearances acting as a hub for incarnation LOAs, even if it doesn't itself hold a humongous list. Perhaps once those sub-lists are more complete we could look at having a list of "unidentified-exterior" TARDIS appearances on this page itself, similar to the unsorted "undated events" Doctor appearances. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 14:11, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

That sounds like a much better suggestion. Even if this page were complete, it would be difficult to gain much from it. I like the hub suggestion, and perhaps it could be applied to other similarly intractable LOAs like with the sonic screwdriver, but also London/Appearances, England/Appearances, Earth/Appearances, etc. Danochy ☎ 21:55, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
