Colonel or Brigadier

Colonel or Brigadier? The Fright Before Christmas (short story) calls Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart one, this story the other. now which is true? --Rübenbrei ☎ 11:50, June 12, 2019 (UTC)

He was a Colonel when the Doctor first met him in The Web of Fear, and had been promoted to the rank of Brigadier by Spearhead from Space. Thus it's completely normal for two short stories to refer to him by those two different titles, depending on when in his timeline they're set. That being said, bear in mind that he's most often known as a Brigadier in fan circles.

I Understand what you say. I asked this nevertheless here, since both stories are set in the same time, so I thought it might be suitable here (sorry for being wring in the place).
