Invalid Source Template?[[edit source]]
Should pages such as this and other unproduced stories that have articles be given the invalid sources template? I think they should as they break rule 3 of T:VS. This is noted at the top of their pages but in my opinion it should be made more obvious. Bongo50 (aka Bongolium500) ☎ 09:42, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
- No. An {{unprod}} story has completely different implication from an {{invalid}} one. An {{invalid}} source is, well, an "invalid source": it can be used as a source for in-universe pages also bearing the {{invalid}} tag. For example, the "Crayola" Doctor.
- In contrast, unproduced stories are not covered outside of their single overview pages. Characters or locations exclusive to unproduced stories do not get pages, albeit ones tagged as {{invalid}}. For example, The Last Regeneration's Doctor doesn't get a page of his own.
- And honestly, I don't think the current situation is confusing. The "Unproduced" header is, if anything, more conspicuous than the garden-variety "Invalid" tag. It's big and red and loudly proclaims that the contents of the page "are not a part of the Doctor Who universe as we, on this Wiki, choose to define it". Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 13:12, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
