Rename[[edit source]]
If the story Two's Company specifically uses the name "The Renegade", then I agree with the renaming of this article. Danniesen ☎ 08:41, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Did it actually call him "The Renegade"? I remember that was what BF called Michael Moloney's character before it was announced as The Two, but I don't remember him being called that in-story 86.153.12.4talk to me
- I'm quite confident that he wasn't called "the Renegade" in the story and I don't think we can assume that that was more than a descriptor used to disguise the fact that he was the Two. Jack "BtR" Saxon ☎ 19:38, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- If Maloney had been credited as "The Time Lord", we wouldn't move the page because it would just cause confusion with other Time Lords. I don't see why this would be any different. Without a dab term, I don't think using the name by which one incarnation of a character was credited to conceal their identity should be applied to the page for the Time Lord as a whole. Rename II[[edit source]]
The Union establishes that the thirteenth incarnation of this Time Lord goes by that name: The Union. Should we take that as an official name for the incarnation? Or as a specific name for the Thirteen? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 143.58.130.130 (talk • contribs) .
- It's a specific name for that incarnation, I'd say. Jack "BtR" Saxon ☎ 18:37, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
Rename III[[edit source]]
So while the current name (The Multitude) was given in AUDIO: The Box of Terrors, they've finally been called "the Collective" in AUDIO: Morbius. Since that's the more recognisable fan term, I think it would make sense to use that name. In terms of in-universe context, I'm not sure what to make the cited The Box of Terrors fact that 'The Six once went by the name "the Multitude" when encapsulating all of his first eleven selves'. For Morbius, it was the case of a Holo-Morbius (akin to the Holo-Doctor) stating that he's sometimes known as "the Collective", or something along those lines. Danochy ☎ 00:17, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- I think with just one source for each, self-determination still has to trump a mention by a third party, whatever the fandom prefers. Of course, we can revisit this if "the Collective" gains additional sources. --Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 15:22, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
