When I encountered it, the (over-long) lead had this concluding statement . . .
- The book carries two titles. On the front cover, the book is titled simply Doctor Who -- reflecting the title of the TV movie. The spine, however, carries the longer title.
. . . which implies that we named an article based on the spine of a book. And that's not how questions of title are ever settled. Could someone who possesses the book simply turn to the copyright page and give us the real, final, copyrighted name of the work? CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 04:09, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

I brought this up in Forum:Doctor Who prefix in titles before the mass change of Doctor Who colon pages, but it wasn't really addressed in the follow-up thread because I already said what I wanted to say. What I was trying to get at was because it and The Script of the Film are derived from a story whose onscreen title is essentially Doctor Who, then unlike most other uses, it should have kept "Doctor Who:" or "Doctor Who -". -- Tybort (talk page) 16:35, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
