One and Twelve's bow tie?[[edit source]]

The First Doctor almost always wore a wing collar with a bow tie, which took the form of a long, oblong piece of cloth tied in a large bow. It was almost always dark in colour, but on one occasion he wore a tie that had a black-and-white checked pattern. (TV: The Rescue)
When the Doctor and Clara visited the Orient Express in space he wore a bow tie tied in the same manner as the ones he used during his first incarnation. (TV: Mummy on the Orient Express)

Right, maybe I'm using a limited definition which only applies to how Two and Eleven's bow tie look, but how are those ties "bow ties" exactly? Especially the one in Mummy? -- Tybort (talk page) 19:20, October 14, 2014 (UTC)

It seems that someone had confused the terms cravat and bow tie, presumably because the aforementioned cravats were seen to be tied in bows.RogerAckroydLives 05:15, May 3, 2016 (UTC)
