Talk:Time Lord messenger

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Behind the scenes note[[edit source]]

I removed the following from the behind-the-scenes section:

Ferain's name was not mentioned in the serial but The Doctor described Valyes in the Genesis of the Daleks as the Time Lord messenger from his past adventures infact he was disguised as Lord Ferain.

This was added by a user who mostly posted speculation, so I'd like some confirmation from someone in the know that this Time Lord messenger is also both Valyes and Lord Ferain. Shambala108 00:50, May 7, 2014 (UTC)

It looks like the Time Lord Messenger was speculated by Doctor Other to be the same messenger of the Time Lords from Genesis of the Daleks, which is a can of worms all to its own. Valyes was retroactively made the guy from Genesis in the Gallifrey audio Ascension, and Ferain was retroactively made the same guy in Lungbarrow. Both pages seem to be about the same guy, right down to the infobox pic. Either way, I don't know of any in-universe connection from the guy in Genesis to the messenger from Terror of the Autons. The other info from Lungbarrow should be removed.PicassoAndPringles 03:17, May 7, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks! If you're familiar with the stories, I'd rather you remove the info than me, as I haven't read/listened to Lungbarrow or Ascension. Shambala108 04:06, May 7, 2014 (UTC)

In the novels he is called "the Mesenger". Yeah, it's me "Denchen"... I couldn't believe it either. 22:45, November 14, 2016 (UTC)

Having read the novelisation of Terror of the Autons...he isn't called that. He's not given a name. The only new info provided by the novelisation is that he was a member of the tribunal in The War Games. --156.110.82.222talk to me 21:56, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
