Talk:Toclafane invasion

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Prop Deleteedit source

Rationaleedit source

See Talk:Skirmish at Tranquil Repose. This is flatly absurd. This kind of article needs to be rooted out of this wiki. Except in very rare cases articles should not be created for events or things that have no names. Battles in particular do not deserve their own names/pages unless the name is given in a primary source. CzechOut | 07:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Polledit source

For Deletionedit source

 • CzechOut | 07:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC), per arguments at cited Talk Page.

Against Deletionedit source

 • The evil dude - Well, theres no other name for it is there? It was an invasion by the Toclafane. Besides, what else do you wanna call it? "Balls dropping out of the sky that come down to shoot the crap out of everyone below"?
See, what I would call it is, Last of the Time Lords. It's not really a Toclafane invasion, anyway. They're incidental to what's going on. This duplicates Time Lord Empire, which, by (almost) using a name given on screen and including the complete plan, says much more economically and correctly what this event was. I'm not opposed to seeing the words "Toclafane invasion" in articles, but I really don't understand why you wouldn't just type Toclafane invasion. To actually create a separate article duplicates the plot section of the episode page. CzechOut | 17:34, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
 • The reason you wouldn't type Toclafane invasion is presumedly that would be linking from an in-universe article which would then link to an out-of-universe article. This article preserves the contious in-universe-ness of the links. --Tangerineduel 17:50, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
 • Tangerineduel 18:01, 29 July 2008 (UTC) I would wait on deleting this page, for the same rationale I gave on The Year that Never Happened discussion, that while there isn't a lot of information there is possibly more coming in The Story of Martha. This article and the Time Lord Empire article have two different points of view.

Decisionedit source

Prop delete has been removed, however a cleanup tag has been added as article requires some editing. Discussion on the name can continue without the prop delete tag. --Tangerineduel 15:29, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering if anyone else agrees that this page is more or less cleaned up now? The series three finale summary is more or less removed and Yana and Chancho's conflict is also omitted. Who else feels it's safe to remove it now? Snivystorm 12:34, December 12, 2015 (UTC)
