Need help understanding how to clean up page[[edit source]]
I'm trying to help out with pages that need clean up. But... What is a "dab page"? What is the cleanup tag asking for?--Rebazim ☎ 17:16, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- A dab (short for disambiguation) page is a page that lists all articles containing a specific word (or sometimes words) so that users who aren't quite sure what they're looking for can search through the list. See Jamie for an example. Dab pages are out of universe, and are mostly just lists. Occupation pages, on the other hand, should have a descriptive paragraph (using DWU sources) defining the occupation, and short paragraphs describing (not listing) various examples, with sources, of those who hold the occupation in question. As an example of the differences, see Space pirate and Space pirate (disambiguation).
