Zellin and Rakaya not Eternals?[[edit source]]

Based on the episode script at http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/scripts/doctor-who-s12-ep7-can-you-hear-me.pdf Zellin considers himself and Rakaya to be immortals but not Eternals.

EDIT: To clarify, this is in the episode as it aired too, not just in the script.

From the script:

We immortals need our games, Doctor. Eternity is long -- and we are cursed to see it all. The Eternals have their games, the Guardians have their power struggles. For me, this dimension is a beautiful board for a game. The toymaker would approve.

The Guide to the Dark Times apparently has a picture of them under 'Eternals' though. So which is right?

See my response at Talk:Rakaya. Shambala108 03:59, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
The line, on its own, would seem to imply that he and Rakaya are a distinct group from the Eternals, yes. I think this was probably the original intent, too, as far as TV: Can You Hear Me? is concerned. But as you say PROSE: The Guide to the Dark Times shows them to quite definitively be Eternals, while the line is merely implying that they're not, maybe kinda.
Because here's the thing, the line you quote doesn't quite rule out Zellin being an Eternal; you can certainly imagine, I dunno, the Master, speaking of "the Time Lords" without including himself in the lot. Note also how, in his little lecture on how the various immortals of N-Space spend eternity, Zellin characterises the Eternals by saying that they "have their games", and then… notes that he sees N-Space as a board for "a game". Hi Shambala108. The line was in the episode as it aired too, not just the script. I've edited my original comment to make that clearer. Scrooge MacDuck makes a valid point though, and I concede to his judgement on this. --Irrevenant 04:15, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
To be fair Scrooge, the point is also made that mere immortals need games, so that reading doesn't quite work. I think the "intent isn't explicit" line is really all we have. Najawin 04:43, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
