Tardis:Infoboxes

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Infoboxes are just a summary. Concentrate on the article itself.

Infoboxes are cool, but they're not the main purpose of an article. They should be only a summary of what's in the article.

With in-universe articles, you should avoid putting information in the infobox that is not within the artilcle proper. There's greater leeway with real world articles on this point, as it's uncommon to put an episode's runtime, for instance, within the body of an article.

If a thing is controversial, you generally shouldn't put it in the infobox. The article should be used to explain things that are too nuanced for a simple declaration in an infobox -- such as whether a character is or is not a companion in a particular story, or what the setting of a story is.
