Tarmis was a maintenance technician on perpetuity station. He was delighted when Vicki Pallister arrived on the station, and showed her around the station. After using her as a hostage, he told her about the imminent collapse of red giant they orbited. Vicki broke his arm, where they realised he was a robot.
