Real world tag not redundant[[edit source]]

I think that Template:Real world should be added to Invalid articles that are set in the real world (i.e., story articles) since not all Invalid articles are told in a RW point of view. Doug86 19:00, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, agreed. The current way has never sat right with me. As you say, it doesn't make sense — Dimensions in Time (TV story) is a different type of page from Ninth Doctor (Scream of the Shalka), and the "Real world" tag would be the obvious way to express that. I agree with this. On a related note, Category:Non-DWU material should really have some form of divide between in-universe and out of universe sub categories. Bongo50 (aka Bongolium500) 20:46, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
I certainly agree with a distinction between the two types of "invalid" article for the points raised above, but might I propose a slightly altered version of this template would do the trick for real-world pages instead of doubling up? A page such as The Daft Dimension (DWM 561 comic story) would be legitimately entitled to have {{real world}}, {{invalid}}, {{ImageLinkComics}} and {{comic stub}} which could get a bit too crowded for my liking.
The new template would be identical to this one but would say something like "Invalid work" perhaps (we'd need to account for the rule 1 failers so "Invalid story" wouldn't be any good). And it might be an idea to change the in-universe template to say something like "Invalid concept" or something to be less ambiguous. I don't know, if anyone has any better suggestions please do share. Borisashton 23:12, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

Just want to point out that until this is actually ruled a complete discussion, there should be no changing of articles to implement what has been suggested. Shambala108 02:11, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
