The Blockheads were a musical group with whose music the Doctor was acquainted. The Tenth Doctor played "Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick", a song co-produced by the group and Ian Dury, in his TARDIS. He intended to take Rose Tyler to see them live in Sheffield on 21 November 1979, but arrived at the wrong date. (TV: Tooth and Claw) The performance went ahead at the Top Rank in Sheffield.
