The Doctor's Prison Diary (short story)
The Doctor's Prison Diary was the first short story in Doctor Who The Official Annual 2022 which, as the title indicates, is presented as an in-universe diary entry kept by the Thirteenth Doctor during her time in the Judoon prison. It also serves as an introduction to the annual as a whole.
Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
Formatted as a diary entry written telepathically by the Doctor via her psychic paper, the Doctor introduces herself before chronicling her current situation as a prisoner of the Judoon. She talks about her ability to regenerate, admitting that it is going to make her life sentence much longer, before describing the interior of her prison cell and her day-to-day life in incarceration.
She ends the entry by remarking on her recent discovery that she is not the person she thought she was, and how she intends to head off and find the answers once help comes.
