The Doctor Omega Chronicles was a book series published by Who Dares Publishing based on the titular character created in 1906 by the French writer Arnold Galopin.

In 2003, Doctor Who historian and writer Jean-Marc Lofficier unearthed the similarities between the Doctor and Galopin's character Doctor Omega. Lofficier consequently created an English version of Doctor Omega, half-translation and half-retelling, which was released in 2003 by Black Coat Publishing to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Doctor Who.
Jean-Marc and Randy Lofficier began editing the anthology series Tales of the Shadowmen in 2005 which featured a variety of public-domain literary characters. Doctor Omega appeared in several of the anthologies, with Doctor Who writer John Peel penning The Dynamics of an Asteroid in 2009's fifth volume The Vampires of Paris. This was Peel's first documented involvement with the character, and since then he was involved in producing two Doctor Omega series including; Doctor Omega's Parallel Adventures and The Doctor Omega Chronicles.
The Doctor Omega Chronicles featured a different status quo from Doctor Omega's Parallel Adventures as well as a completely different Doctor Omega logo, and implications that Doctor Omega was anything but a human were purged from the marketing. This series had John Peel as a chief editor and Andrew Skilleter as a cover artist. As of 12 September 2024 two novels have been released in the series; The Strike of Midnite and The Tomb of Undying Khalyr.

Doctor Omega is aboard his time ship the Galopin, outside of the normal boundaries of space and time waiting to return to the universe he knows. His travelling companion, the mysterious adventuress Miss Midnite, is very, very bored. The offer of a biscuit from the Doctor is not quite the excitement she craves. But she needn’t worry as they find themselves plunged into a search for the tomb of Undying Khalyr who may be “undying”, but there are plenty of other corpses on the journey as they brave planetary hurricanes, death traps, treachery – and then the secret of Khalyr himself…
