In 1963, a film about the fall of Rome was shown at the Ritz Theatre on Totter's Lane in Shoreditch, London. The First Doctor and Susan Foreman attended a screening of this film, with the Doctor taking great issue with the number of historical inaccuracies present within it. After repeatedly and rudely complaining about these inaccuracies to several other members of the audience, the Doctor and Susan were told to leave by Mrs. Smith, an usherette, with the duo walking away together in the direction of a junkyard.
In early 2005, an 81-year-old Mrs. Smith wrote about this encounter on the conspiracy website Doctor Who?. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)
