A Boggart, known among the Fair Folk as the Lost, was caught by the Fairy Finder and cast in a deep hole. A tree was planted on this hole, its roots wrapping around the Boggart, who hibernated.
The tree's roots absorbed some of the Boggart's magic, and formed a connection with Sammy Holland, who used to play around the tree when she was young.
The fears of the Boggart manifested through beings who became known as the Shining Men. (PROSE: The Shining Man)
