Metatron, sometimes the Metatron, is an angel documented in various traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, often depicted as God's personal scribe.
Versions of the character were portrayed by Derek Jacobi in the TV series Good Omens and by Alex Hassell in the TV series His Dark Materials.
