The Robots of War (audio story)
The Robots of War was the first story in the audio anthology The Robots: Volume Two, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Roland Moore and featured Nicola Walker as Liv Chenka and Claire Rushbrook as Tula Chenka.
Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
A visit to an old flame goes badly wrong for Liv and Tula and soon they find themselves locked down in a military training base, surrounded by traitors and robots designed and built for war. As they attempt to get everyone out alive, is there a chance they’ve missed something important?
Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]
At Kinsoff Peak Training Base, Cadet Privates Rax Heron and Frenton Cal call for assistance from SV22 but lose contact after learning of the presence of magnetic mines. They fail the exercise upon setting off the mines and are told by Captain Rosh that they should have waited to re-establish contact with SV22.
Liv finishes a patient report at Kaldor City Hospital and receives a call from Tula, asking her to join her and perform routine checks on army personnel. She agrees and is wished a farewell by V90, who goes to deal with the secondment of SV66.
Rax and Frenton discuss their simulation, with Rax expressing his distrust for robots and his dislike for them due to the loss of his father's job. He gives Frenton a leaflet for a Sons of Kaldor meeting. Liv and Tula arrive at the training base and meet Captain Rosh, whom Tula once had a brief relationship with.
To be completed.
