The Secret Service was a science fiction series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Originally running as a televised puppet series, The Secret Service was also spun off into comics published in Countdown, before later gaining some further comic content in the 2014 issues of TV Century 21.

The original run of the series on television spanned September to December 1969. In the chronology of Anderson-produced series filmed in supermarionation, The Secret Service was the final show to be branded as such, succeeding Joe 90. It additionally featured far more live-action scenes than its predecessors.

Crossovers[[edit] | [edit source]]

As the conceit of TV Century 21 was that all its series took place in a single universe, a few stories freely crossed over elements from the The Secret Service and Doctor Who universes with one another, although no The Secret Service comics featured DWU elements. The only crossovers between the two were a result of The Secret Service being featured in Network Distributing's Supermarionation boxset's special one-off TV Century 21 issues.

The first of only two official crossovers took place in the TV21 Stop Press short story Fireflash Mk II Bound for New York, printed in TV Century 21 #243, which featured mention of Father Stanley Unwin and his role as a covert agent for British Intelligence. The second took place in TV21 Stop Press short story XL5 Crew Detained on Astra!, printed in TV Century 21 #244, which mentioned Stanley Unwin, his suitcase, his Model T Ford, and the events of the then-ongoing The Secret Service comic strip.
