Footnotes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  1. The episode includes a brief edit during the scene where the Doctor starts to examine the captive Yeti in the Meeting Room. This was due to a fault on the episode which resulted in a brief loss of sound during the Doctor's line "You were right about one thing, Victoria. This creature certainly doesn't seem to be flesh and blood." The sound loss occurred towards the end of the previous scene, showing the inactive control sphere at the foot of the Buddha in the courtyard: the monks' chanting cut out and the first few moments of the Doctor's examination of the Yeti were also silent, before the sound returned with "...toria". The silent section was edited out for the video release, losing the end of the courtyard scene, and coming in on the Doctor's next line. The sound loss is present on existing audio recordings, indicating the episode was originally broadcast with the fault intact. This silent section was repaired for the CD soundtrack and DVD releases of the episode.
  2. This was at the time the only episode of the story known to exist.
