Theory:Doctor Who comic strip discontinuity and plot holes/4-Dimensional Vistas

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
You are exploring the Discontinuity Index, a place where any details or rumours about unreleased stories are forbidden.
Please discuss only those whole stories which have already been released, and obey our spoiler policy.

This page is for discussing the ways in which 4-Dimensional Vistas doesn't fit well with other DWU narratives. You can also talk about the plot holes that render its own, internal narrative confusing.

Remember, this is a forum, so civil discussion is encouraged. However, please do not sign your posts. Also, keep all posts about the same continuity error under the same bullet point. You can add a new point by typing:

... and so on.
  • The Time Meddler's TARDIS is stuck in the form of a police box. However, in The Daleks' master Plan, the Time Meddler was able to correct his TARDIS' chameleon circuit, and it was last seen materialising on an ice planet in the form of a block of ice.
He could have deliberately changed it back to that form. Might appeal to his sense of symmetry or something, seeing as he laid so complex a trap for the Doctor.
Except he didn't set the trap for the Doctor. That was just a side effect of the experiments in time. Note that the Time Meddler shows clear surprise at the Doctor's identity right before he is blasted into another dimension. I would instead suggest that the Time Meddler's chameleon circuit is on the fritz and it stuck in the police box form in much the same way the Doctor's TARDIS did.
It's poor continuity. In The Daleks' Master Plan, the Doctor messes with the Time Meddler's chameleon circuit, leaving his TARDIS looking like a police box. However, the Time Meddler repairs his chameleon cicruit(something the Doctor was never able to do), and when we next see his TARDIS it blends into the surroundings on the ice planet. Whoever came up with 4-Dimensional Vistas was likely ignorant, and didn't know(or perhaps simply ignored) that the Time Meddler's chameleon circuit had been repaired.
  • The Doctor defeats the Time Meddler by making both TARDISes occupy the same space. This destroys the Time Meddler's TARDIS, because two TARDISes allegedly can't occupy the same space. But
a)Two TARDISes occupied the same space in The Time Monster (TV story). Not to mention the Master often travelling with a TARDIS inside another TARDIS.
b)Even if this was true, why would the Time Meddler's TARDIS be the one to be destroyed, rather than the Doctor's older, more run-down model?
