Theory:Doctor Who television discontinuity and plot holes/Attack of the Graske

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
You are exploring the Discontinuity Index, a place where any details or rumours about unreleased stories are forbidden.
Please discuss only those whole stories which have already been released, and obey our spoiler policy.

This page is for discussing the ways in which Attack of the Graske doesn't fit well with other DWU narratives. You can also talk about the plot holes that render its own, internal narrative confusing.

Remember, this is a forum, so civil discussion is encouraged. However, please do not sign your posts. Also, keep all posts about the same continuity error under the same bullet point. You can add a new point by typing:

* This is point one.

... and so on.
  • If the TARDIS is following the Graske's trail, then how can it arrive before him?
It follows his trail to the right timezone and then has to wait around until he materialises.
The TARDIS is a time machine, and sometimes lands before it is supposed to when following things, such as in The Doctor's Daughter.
  • The map of Victorian London looks more like a map of modern London.
  • If the Graske wanted to conquer Earth by replacing its population then why does the Graske we see replace a modern day person and then travel back in time to replace a Victorian person? Why not just try to conquer Earth in one era rather than two eras?
There were less people in the Victorian era, so would be less people to replace.
Although following this logic why not travel back to a time before the enormous Victorian population boom?
  • How does the Doctor know that the Raxicoricofallapatorian is from the Slitheen family?
Different families may have different skin colours. The Slitheen are shown to be green, Blathereen to be orange and Slitheen-Blathereen to be a brown-reddish colour.
It is unlikely that only one family in the whole of Raxacoricofallapatorius has green skin. That is like saying only one family in the whole Earth is white or black.
Families on Raxicoricofallapatorius may mean the same thing as race does on Earth.
That is unlikely. In Boom Town, they talk about how the Slitheen are a criminal family, and they are all raised to be criminals.
So? Native Americans were all raised in the same way. It can be the same for Slitheen.
Raxicoricofallapatorians execute any member of the Slitheen family, so if the Slitheen were a race, the Raxicoricofallapatorians would be incredibly racist.
They were to be executed because of their crimes. It would have had nothing to do with their race.
The Doctor might just be able to recognize that particular Raxicoricofallapatorian as a member of the Slitheen family.
There is also enough evidence to suggest that Ten (and Rose) simply call any member of the Raxicoricofallapatorian race 'Slitheen' out of habit.
And because it's much quicker to say "Slitheen" even if less accurate.
