This page is for discussing the ways in which Greeks Bearing Gifts doesn't fit well with other DWU narratives. You can also talk about the plot holes that render its own, internal narrative confusing.

- Why would Captain Jack, a pansexual human from the far future, have been disturbed by his transgender colleague Vanessa (formerly Vincent)?
- Jack's story contains almost no detail. While he seems offended by Vanessa's sex/gender-change, it's possible his consternation was due to other factors in the situation.
- It's quite possible, that aspect of his personality could make the idea of a sex change even more confusing. I.e. Love yourself for who you are and anything else that's cute enough. Nevertheless, he seemed more disturbed by his friend's personality change and lack of communication about his issues.
- Given the context of what happened to Toshiko, it could be that his friend was manipulated into changing gender.
- I think Jack's ACTUALLY disturbed that he didn't notice it coming. He thought everything was normal and then suddenly his friend was now trans. He was disappointed in himself for not noticing a change beforehand
- Why could Captain Jack talk telepathically to Tosh but she couldn't read his mind?
- He may have had some level of psychic training, maybe when he was in the Time Agency, that allows him to not have his mind read but gave him an ability to communicate telepathically when he needs to.
- Tosh mentions John Hurt in the film Alien, but John Hurt plays the War Doctor.
- I theroize many of the thoughts from Torchwood be lies by Mary to turn Tosh against them and control her into helping her. How'd you think Tosh react when Jack reveals it? And how'd you think Tosh react to finding out Mary's people were ncier and MAry was lying to her?
- The War Doctor may just look like John Hurt.
