Did the events Donna's referring to - with Chaucer and an alien shark - in The Star Beast actually happen to her and 10? While Donna acts like she's guessing, the tone of her voice and movement of her head implies she's merely getting the Doctor to confirm it actually happened (and that she was involved, hence how she knows it happened), which he does, to inform Rose of why she cannot go with them.
