Thorfinn Karlsefni was a member of a Viking tribe. His wife was Gudrid and their son was Snorri. They met the Eighth Doctor when he accompanied a tribe of Micmac who had journeyed to trade with the Vikings. The Doctor encouraged Thorfinn and his family to return to Greenland.
