The time rotor handbrake, (GAME: TARDIS) or time brakes, (AUDIO: The Shoreditch Intervention) could be found on the console of the Doctor's TARDIS.
According to the Eighth Doctor, the TARDIS always jolted when the First Doctor landed because he hadn't found the time brakes. (AUDIO: The Shoreditch Intervention)
