The Second Doctor used a time scanner to see where he'd travel to next, but Jamie wasn't so sure — saying disapprovingly "The second sight. Very dangerous." The Doctor didn't use the time scanner much, as according to him it was "not very reliable". (TV: The Moonbase [+]Loading...["The Moonbase (TV story)"])

Inspired by the Fendahl, Dr Fendelman created a sonic time scanner which made him find the skull of the Fendahl. Incidentally, it dragged the Doctor's TARDIS into a Relative Continuum Displacement Zone. (TV: Image of the Fendahl [+]Loading...["Image of the Fendahl (TV story)"])
