Tivorg was the grandfather of Asun. When she drowned in a river, he became obsessed with bringing her back to life. After taking her body from her grave and experimenting on it for some time, he succeeded in creating a machine capable of resurrection. In the final timeline, the Fourth Doctor and Romana II destroyed this machine, and then left Veridis with Adric. (AUDIO: A Full Life)
