An Arrit tomb ship was the resting place of their God-King.
The ship was set on course to an inhabited star system. When it arrived at the system's sun, the ship would cause it to go supernova, creating a stellar funeral pyre for the God-King.
The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa landed on the tomb ship before its destruction, encountering Virna and her family of tomb raiders. They managed to pilot the ship away from the system, so its explosion did not kill the innocent people living there. The Doctor took the survivors away in the TARDIS before the ship was destroyed.
