Turgid

The Turgids were a humanoid species whom appeared externally similar to humans and Gallifreyans. They once imprisoned the Fourth Doctor and Romana in their solid steel dungeons. However, by using the TARDIS tuner on his person, the Doctor was able to send the Turgid guard to sleep, allowing him and Romana to summon the TARDIS to escape. (COMIC: Dr Who and the Turgids)
