I certainly would not call it a novel in my own life, no. But if our only two options are (novel) and (short story), it's more consistent to stick with novel for this particular series.
The Adventures of K9 is also a series of storybooks for children. I'm not sure I'd call these (short story), either, because they were released as individual paperbacks. That they are so short is in part because they're intentionally at a low reading level, for children.
Is there any word from the people who published this, or were involved with this, what kind of terminology is used?
