"Powers/abilities"[[edit source]]

Hey! About your edit at Omega — the enthusiasm is appreciated, but we don't really have "Powers/abilities" sections on pages, so I had to remove it. Maybe you should look at some of the character pages we already have to see the sort of structure we usually go with? Scrooge MacDuck 22:10, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

Oh sorry, I have seen many, many other characters have abilities sections so I thought i’d include some on omega from what i’ve seen. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Doomsday dvo (talk • contribs) .

No problem! Completely understandable mistake for a near-first-time editor, a lot of people's first edits are far less constructive to begin with. We all have to learn!
I don't think our Wiki usually has sections named "Powers/abilities". Though either way, the really problematic thing about your paragraph was actually that it wasn't cited. If you look at how the rest of the Omega page is written, you'll see that all in-universe statements on our pages need to be cited to specific stories. We can't just say "Rassilon said XYZ", you always need to specify which story claimed so, with a "citation" like "(TV: The Three Doctors)".
Regarding replies: you're close, a lot of Wikis do it in the way you found, but on this Wiki, what we do is that you should reply on the talk page of the other person in the conversation — so, in this case, User_talk:Scrooge MacDuck. If this is your first reply, add a section title like, in this case, "Re: 'Powers/abilities'", as though you were writing an email. Also don't forget to sign your posts! You can do this simply by typing four tildes — ~~~~ — at the end of your message, which the Wiki's software converts automatically into your username and a timestamp when you hit "save".
