Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Pipe Switches[[edit source]]

Hi, I've noticed that you like to edit pages to introduce pipe switches. I thought I'd give you a heads up to say that pipe switches are unnecessary and shouldn't be performed. Ben Moore812 21:39, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

Could you please provide an example of a pipe switch that allegedly shouldn't be performed? Rules are either quoted verbatim or enforced by an admin. Ben Moore812 is not, I'm a afraid, eligible to enforce rules on this wiki. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Amorkuz (talk • contribs) . 23:35, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
User:Shambala108 reverted this edit stating "These pipe switches are unnecessary and shouldn't be performed. This, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and this edit are the examples in the past month of dodgy edits regarding pipe switching. I can't find the policy page but I've definitely been told not to do stuff like this before. --Borisashton 00:12, November 28, 2018 (UTC)

Since my name has been invoked, I might as well add my two cents. Thread:123048, "Plural Links", explains that we do not need to pipe switch plurals and other similar suffixes. It doesn't give a reason, but here's one I've encountered: It's much easier to change links for page renames if there aren't any pipe switches. So to make a long story short (too late), don't pipe switch if you don't have to. Thanks, Shambala108 02:06, November 28, 2018 (UTC)

You've been temporarily blocked to get your attention. Please indicate on this page that you have read the above messages. Once you do so you will be unblocked.
Do not pipe switch plurals or other suffixes. In addition, the change you made to the uncredited cast/crew citations on The Mutants (TV story) was incorrect. Do not remove citations and lump them all in one place. Thanks, Shambala108 19:09, November 28, 2018 (UTC)

One more reminder[[edit source]]

Hi please don't pipe switch plurals Thread:123048 and don't lump all citations together. I've already addressed both of these issues with you before thanks. Shambala108 21:59, January 27, 2019 (UTC)

For(u)m Letter[[edit source]]

Hey there, I hope your Halloween was decent. As you might know, we've not had forums for over two years at this point. A few of the regular editors have been having a discussion on this topic at Forum talk:Index and we'd like the input of other prominent editors if you have the inclination. Cheers.
