I'm sorry that I took so long to get back to you. I've been having trouble with my internet for the past few days, but I will now try to address each of your complaints. I do not believe that no picture is necessary for the Doctor's article. I just believe that we don't need all eleven of them in the infobox at the top of the article, since they each have their own articles anyway. There is a navbox right under the infobox labelled "Incarnations of the Doctor" that fulfills a similar role to the links in the pictures on Wikipedia. There really should be some kind of picture in the infobox on the Doctor's page, but so far nobody has agreed on one in the discussion on its talk page, and the discussion hasn't really been going anywhere for a few weeks. If you disagree, and believe that all eleven Doctors should be in the infobox image, then you should voice your opinion on the article's talk page rather than on my talk page. That way, other users are more likely to see what you wrote and will either agree or disagree with you. I don't know why you are complaining to me about the Dalek page, as I had literally nothing to do with it. There are pictures of some of the older Daleks in the body of the article, but we only show one image in the main infobox for species. Look at the Cybermen, who have gone through much more radical changes than the Daleks have even just in the black and white era, and they only have one image on their page. (There are two on the generic Cybermen page because it deals with two totally unrelated versions of the Cybermen) I agree with you that the Dalek's current design is probably the worst in the history of the show, and I hope they change it before too long. I would happily support changing the infobox image to show the Davies era Daleks instead of these ones, but I think most people probably prefer to show the most reason version. If you really want the Dalek page changed, then you should bring it up on the talk page. The reason the Doctor's page is in past tense has nothing to do with the fact that he is supposedly going to die. We all know that Moffat will find some way around it. Especially since Matt Smith is going to be in the Christmas special. All in-universe articles are written in past tense. See Tardis:Manual of Style. I hope that I adequately addressed all of your advice and complaints.Icecreamdif 19:02, September 26, 2011 (UTC)

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]
As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.
This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!
We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.
2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
