User talk:Lewody1
Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask an admin.
Proposed deletionsedit source
On some pages it is obvious that a page needs deleting, on other times it's not. Unless the page is blatantly offensive please leave the content and just put a proposed deletion, this way it's obvious the page needs deleting, but it is also easy for the admins to see the content rather than delving back into the page's history. Additionally if it's less obvious why a page should be deleted it allows others to see the content. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 16:01, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Categoriesedit source
Hi, when creating categories please pay attention to category naming conventions, for instance Category:Eleventh Doctor Enemies should be Category:Eleventh Doctor enemies.
However, categories should not be created unless they have 3 or more articles within them. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 13:55, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
- Again can I please remind you to follow titling conventions when creating categories. Category:Character Timeline is an incorrect title. Firstly in a singular it basically means one character timeline. Secondly it should be cased as Category:Character timelines. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 12:35, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
Stub templatesedit source
Hi :) Thanks for creating Henrietta Goodheart! I noticed, however, that you didn't use the stub template, but instead copied the code from the template directly into the article. This is not desirable, because it means that changes made to the stub template itself would not have been reflected in the article you created. In future, please call a stub template (or, indeed, any template), by putting the name of the template within curly braces. For example:
character stub
is all you need to do to put the character stub on a page. Way easier, and more helpful, than cutting and pasting the code onto the page. Thanks again for your contribution! CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 21:16, March 11, 2010 (UTC)
Removing prop deletesedit source
The discussion on the Portal:Companions is still on-going, please do not remove prop-deletes until discussions reaches an agreement. (The page was deleted accidentally during a mass removal of vandalism and restored following that (as the log for the page states). --Tangerineduel 14:03, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
Tenth doctoredit source
You need proof for things like this or informationThe mysterious 14:32, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
Categoriesedit source
Please look at surrounding categories before adding categories to pages. Category:Companions of the Fourth Doctor is already in Category:Allies of the Fourth Doctor this means that everyone who is in 'Companions of the Fourth Doctor' is already in 'Allies of the Fourth Doctor' because the Companions category is a sub-category of Allies. --Tangerineduel 12:24, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
Feature article archiveedit source
DO NOT add articles to the feature article archive that have not been voted on. --Tangerineduel 12:39, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
Spamedit source
Why did you undo my edit to Planet of the Spiders? Adding links to outside sites is considered spam and a blockable offence. Do not do so again. The Thirteenth Doctor 23:05, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
- It does not matter if you wanted to watch it, it is considered spam and undoing it's removal is also spam. I hope you won't do it again. The Thirteenth Doctor 12:36, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
Personal thoughtsedit source
Please do not add your own thoughts and theories to the series 6 page. It can be seen as vandalism. Given your history, I strongly' suggest you read the Tardis:Manual of Style and learn where and where not to post information. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:30, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Warningedit source
Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions here, please review our vandalism policy and consider whether all your edits have been made in the spirit of that policy.
To the user who placed this tag: This message is pretty general and should usually be avoided. Please use one of the messages at warn list, or write a brief message of your own that tells the user specifically how they can improve their editing.
You said it was impossible. That is you're personal thought. Your edit to my page was vandalism, hence the warning, and many of your edits are spamming or vandalism. If you do so again, you will be blocked. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:46, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Do not create pages for episodes which have not aired. They are considered spoilers until they do, and there is not sufficient information to warrant an article. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:54, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Since then, the policies have changed. The Thirteenth Doctor 18:05, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, please sign all of your posts, and there is no need to start a new section for every post. --The Thirteenth Doctor 18:08, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

The Ood are not allies of the Tenth Doctor. Ood Sigma is, hence he is in that category. And CAL is not an ally of the Tenth Doctor, as far as I am aware (I maybe wrong, you may want to check with an admin or other Users.) Also please do not take The Doctor Who DVD file as being 100% right, to you it may be. This wiki categories things and see things differently than the Doctor Who DVD file. Mini-mitch 16:30, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Also, species are not allies of the Doctor's, the individuals within the species are. Revanvolatrelundar 16:32, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Certain usersedit source
TheThirteenthDoctor giving you a hard time huh?
He's always enforcing every little rule, and is online 24/7, the worst part is, he;s in control.
NO OFFENCE!
Imagesedit source
As the articles are written from an in-universe point of view, images have to be in-universe as well. That means they have to be taken from a televised episode from one of the actual shows, not a picture that was taken by any other photographer. That's why your recent edits have been undone. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:32, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
Coxrb001edit source
I'm not and admin, but I've asked Tangerineduel to give them one final warning before blocking him. The Thirteenth Doctor 18:31, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
Admins & Historyedit source
Hello. The Thirteenth Doctor may not be an admin, but the user has edited on this wiki for some time and is a trusted and experienced editor. Just because users may not be admins does not mean they care about a wiki any less than admins.
The history is located in the top left where it will say "Edited by..." hover your mouse over it and a menu will drop down and you can click "View full history", you can also click "My Tools" (bottom right hand corner) which also allows you to select "History". You can certainly send a request to Wikia central asking for the layout to be changed back, however many users made their views known during the beta-process, and only minor details were altered. The layout that is now in place isn't that bad once you've used it for some time. --Tangerineduel 16:32, November 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Exactly as Tangerineduel said. Also, could you sign your edits with ~~~~ when you post comments, as it's difficult to follow a conversation if you don't. Thanks. --The Thirteenth Doctor 17:56, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Christmas cheeredit source
As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.
This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!
We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.
2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
Comment on Missy (Deep Breath) pageedit source
Re your comments on Talk:Missy (Deep Breath): I would have thought that as a long time user you would be familiar with edit summaries. I left an edit summary when I removed your infoboxes. If an article is too short, we just don't use an infobox (per Tardis:Guide to images). If more content ever gets added, the infoboxes can be re-added.
In the future, if you have a question about an edit, ask the person directly instead of posting it off-topic on another talk page. The user you were defending on Talk:Missy (Deep Breath) has violated several policies, and you appear to be defending him/her while coming close to attacking another user.
I also suggest you take a look at the admin list so you can see who the admins are on this wiki. Thanks. Shambala108 ☎ 22:41, August 29, 2014 (UTC)
OOUedit source
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my edit summary. I put "oou" which is out of universe. I removed the text because it was written from the wrong perspective.--Skittles the hog - talk 21:23, November 1, 2014 (UTC)
Re: changing editsedit source
Hi! I've looked at some examples of 5.68's edits, but there have been so many edits to the page that I'm not sure what you mean. Can you give me some specific examples of questionable editing? Thanks. Shambala108 ☎ 21:52, November 15, 2014 (UTC)
