Face tendril[[edit source]]

Hey, I left my thoughts on the Face tendril page. Thanks for keeping me informed. --Tangerineduel 13:21, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Next time, if there's a redirect, as there was, just ask an admin (such as me or Doug86) to move the page to it, rather than moving it to a similar article name. This just means we have to move the article again. The article has been moved to Multi-form (admins need to do this because it involves deleting the redirect prior to the move). (I left a comment rather than move the article as I was unsure if you wanted further discussion or whatever) Thanks. --Tangerineduel 13:29, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
I wasn't critising (or trying to discourage you), in fact most pages can be moved by anyone. It's only if what you're trying to move it to already exists (as a redirect or otherwise) an admin needs to duck in and delete the page so the page you're trying to move can go there. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 14:07, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Time Field[[edit source]]

My PC crashed a few months ago, I get it back up, the nature of this wiki has changed. First of all the page is in the wrong tense it should be the time field was not the time crack is. It is written in the wrong manual of style. I am going to change it to past tense not present tense. --Catkind121 13:15, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well I think you are wrong it should be in past tense this is about the doctor who universe and everything in it should be written in past tense. --Catkind121 13:29, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
No. The cracks are am in-universe article and therefore are in the past tense.
The term ongoing events is referring to articles like the Series 5 (Doctor Who 2005) article which has the Template:Current event tag on it, or articles relating to ongoing concerns like Steven Moffat's page where he is currently the Executive Producer of the Doctor Who.
With regards to in-universe articles on-going is a purely subjective term because all in-universe articles are written with the perspective from the very end of the universe where all in-universe events are in the past.
The stories that make up the sources for the Time Field article are either broadcast or yet to be broadcast and as you shouldn't cite yet to be broadcast/published stories as they can't be verified. --Tangerineduel 13:48, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Reply[[edit source]]

I have no idea, sorry. You best bet is to ask an admin. Mini-mitch 22:10, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Discontinuity pages[[edit source]]

Forum:Discontinuity revisited is the forum page where the change in the discontinuity pages was discussed, I'd suggest adding to the discussion there. --Tangerineduel 07:07, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Monster size comparisons[[edit source]]

I deleted them because they didn't have a source listed on the image page. If they were out of universe they could still be used if they were placed within the Behind the Scenes section. The images would still need to be sourced (sources go on the image page as described in the copyright tag. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 16:35, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, as I said when I responded to your first question. They did sit with prop deletes on them for a fair few days. --Tangerineduel 17:19, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Talk page archiving[[edit source]]

Good question, we don't currently have any policy in place with regards to article talk page archiving. I'd suggest posting a topic in Forum:Panopticon to get other user's feedback on it.

In the case of the Time Field discussion (and in fact all article talk pages) the talk page should be used to discuss the editing of the article and how it's put together (or its name etc) rather than the theories and speculation that's crept in there. I've place the Template:Talk Page at the top (likely it will do nothing, but it serves to alert people and point towards The Howling). Thanks. --Tangerineduel 14:34, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Protected articles.[[edit source]]

Dear TTD.

A wiki is an encyclopedia in which people are aloud to edit. However, because people have been protecting articles, it is impossible to edit them. This takes the fun out of being a member of a wiki. Do something about it!

Tardis Pictures[[edit source]]

Do you have a link I can use to compate the blasted tardis bit to both the tenth and eleventh Doctors TARDIS? Jack Chilli 12:38, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

There is one at the top of this page with the door open! What do you think a better match or not? Jack Chilli 12:52, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

What about this angle (From the BBC the TARDIS in the auton lair http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/gallery/tardis/1024/01.jpg) Clearer indentation? Jack Chilli 13:31, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

You wouldn't pull apart a props as importnat as the tradis to make a piece; it's in an exhibition or something. That leave two possiblities deliberate differences or a poorly made prop. You could go either way but one way is interesting to speculate about and the other is dull. Jack Chilli 13:43, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

Tabitha Pond[[edit source]]

It's who Karen Westwood is cast as playing, according to http://doctorwhospoilers.ueuo.com/, which has a number of confirmed guests (such as Alex Kingston as River Song and a few others) and the characters they play. Delton Menace 09:07, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know much about the owner, other than that person seems to always be ahead of everyone else probably due to on-set reports and what not. And yes, very reliable, from my experience. He or she has always got casting right, and always knows confirmed spoilers. Hence, the website clearly says it's spoilers, which is, in short, what the majority of fans don't know yet. But as I said, it's always reliable, and I think once mention Rory's death in Cold Blood long before it happened, and had the cast down for that episode long before it aired. Delton Menace 09:22, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Vandal[[edit source]]

Thanks for letting me know. I've warned the user (again) as the pattern of the user's contributions don't suggest someone deliberately changing content as many of their additions are valid edits. So I just want to give them a final warning just in case. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 12:14, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Whore[[edit source]]

Hi WHORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amy Pond did turn into The Master and The Eleventh Hour was set before The End of Time so you just deleted one very truthful edit's .to finish my mesege you are not just a whore you are a cross between a SHITER A FUCKER A PISSER A BITCH AND A WHORE.

Screwdrivers cross-sections[[edit source]]

Hi, the cross-section pictures are from Peter McKinstry's website. But how do I ad that source? Evilyoda 18:33, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks - Evilyoda 18:39, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Pre-spoilers[[edit source]]

Yeah, sure thing. I get what you're saying now: spoilers are only for upcomming episode articles and series, and not the character pages. Fair enough. I will remove any known pre-spoilers I find on character articles from now on. Delton Menace 18:26, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Thank You.[[edit source]]

I would like to thank you for your support in my request to become an admin - so thank you! :) In the future if you ask to be an admin, which I hope you do, I will full back you :) Cheers again :) Mini-mitch 19:52, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Please Shut Up[[edit source]]

Stop trying to block me you fucking whore Darth Rishda

Weevil edit[[edit source]]

Can you please tell me why you reverted my edit to the weevil page? The creature is set to appear in the episode, and is even on the template I added. I checked around, and it seems like the other pages are counting the Pandorica Opens/ the big bang as an appearance in series 5. So why was it removed? This is a really annoying problem on this wiki, people keep reverting edits and not specifying why. HellKaiserryo12 (TalkContribs) 22:37, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Face Tendril[[edit source]]

I have noticed that you moved the Face Tendril to page to Multi-Form when you shouldn't have. You don't move a page because you think it is the right name for it when the name of the species was already confirmed by the BBC Doctor Who website. Multi-Form was just a name it was refered to because it had that ability. -- Michael Downey 20:44, June 19, 2010 (UTC).

Thanks![[edit source]]

Thanks for heading me up on the 'Next Story' thing

Weevils[[edit source]]

Did it ever occur to you the might appear in The Big Bang??? User:Redranger241 22:34, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Then what about the other villains then, why are you only changing the Weevil page?User:Redranger241 22:41, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Weevils DID appear, right before the Pandorica closed with the Doctor inside, one Weevil can be seen on the right somewhat hidden among the other aliens. It wasn't an in-your-face appearance, but one can be seen among the others. You didn't see, but a few of us did notice one among the aliens. Delton Menace 21:44, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Go on BBC iPlayer, and pause the video right as the CyberLeader says "Seal the Pandorica." You see a Weevil behind him to the right. God god. Go look for yourself. Delton Menace 21:54, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Well, that's good, and I know what you mean. I only noticed on second viewing. The Uvondi is the same, seen very vaugely behind one of them Cybermen... you can see the right side of their face in one shot. I didn't see the Blowfish, though. Hopefully, the Weevils will be shown more visably next week. Delton Menace 22:01, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Doctor Who Answers[[edit source]]

To answer your question: Yes, I am that same user. The Nth Doctor 00:22, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

I saw your adoption request. I regularly check them out of curiosity and to laugh at those who have no chance. :) Yes, I thought about it. I could help you out with a few things to improve it. I created Fable Answers and designed the skin, with a bit of help. I managed to get the code for a sidebar and edit and talk page buttons (see the top of the page). Leave me a message if you want any of these and I could give you the code for them. User:Solar Dragon/Signature 12:12, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Midnight[[edit source]]

The Return of the Master arc catagory was because of the Entity nocking on the door four times, like the Master in Sound of Drums, the record player in The Unicorn and the Wasp, and Harriet Jones's message in The Stolen Earth. User:Finister2

RE: Admin[[edit source]]

I appreciate your request, but I'm afraid I'm a little too busy at the moment to live up to that kind of responsility. The Nth Doctor 01:44, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Assistance with a discussion on forum[[edit source]]

Hi, I'd value your input/discussion on this topic in the forums Forum:Italics or Quotation marks?, I'm not comfortable making a ruling solely based on a running conversation between myself and CzechOut and would value other regular editors' points of view on this issue. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 06:23, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Amy[[edit source]]

k, Thanks i just really wanted it to be there and updated. The mysterious 16:07, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Rory is currently Amy's husband.[[edit source]]

You changed this to "was" as in the past tense without explaining why. As of 'The Big Bang', Rory is Amy's husband.(Theother2010 20:58, June 29, 2010 (UTC))

You were correct in your edit. The mistake was mine. Sorry about that. Theother2010 23:31, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

13th Doctor[[edit source]]

No evidence it was Tony Blair? We accept less to accept "historical" Prime Ministers as having been PM. The DVD commentaries even go so far as to say Tony Blair was the AoL PM. Why aren't we including him, exactly? Michael Year isn't a very solid character (see Talk Page of that).Zythe 19:16, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

All Or One[[edit source]]

Accusations of copying[[edit source]]

Hello. Please do not accuse me or anybody else of "copying" articles from Wikipedia without providing evidence to back up your claim. My additions to this wiki may have been based off the Wikipedia page, but there is no "copying" involved. Perhaps you would like to work on the Morrissey article yourself instead of reverting my contributions with a brusk mouse click? 81.141.188.34 22:22, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Yeti[[edit source]]

if you bothered to look back at the pages history you would see that I removed the rumour a while back with a source when it was confirmed the artwork released for the yeti was for the doctor who dvd files magazine. Why I should I keep going out of my way to re-add sources for people incompetence. In future instead of me doing all the hardwork you do some and view the pages history. Thanks yeah? -- Michael Downey 22:29, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

Explanation of Ways[[edit source]]

I am sorry if I am being to agressive towards the user. I just want to enforce our policy. Anyway, I was just warning the user, I don't want her to vandalise something. So yes, I will make no agressive contact. Also, Thirteenth Doctor, she might be foreign, she might have somebody English typing for her, I used the five languages to see her own opinion. Don't take this personally. Duelfight, July 13, 2986, (UTC)

The bit about New York, oh, that was compensation. Anyway, I told you I will stop and I will stop, and I did change boyfriend to lover. Duelfight, July 13, 2010, 13:20, (UTC)

No,no,no you are getting this all wrong, compensation is not immature. The Judoon use the term and they are a police force in the galaxy. Please Understand, and make it understood. I just like doing it loads of times, like in 'The End of Time' when everyone becomes a doppelganger of the Master. I mean it's craxy (that quote is from 'The Sound of Drums)

I am trying not to be rude, at all. So don't think I am, okay, end of conversation. Thanks. Duelfight, July 13, 2010, 15:58, (UTC)

Thanks for making me aware[[edit source]]

Hey, thanks for making me aware of these issues, and prodding me to look into the various other issues around on the wiki. I've addressed some of Duelfight's talk responses. Please feel free to contact me if there are further actions and I will take action against the user. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 13:09, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Of Course not. I "borrowed" it from Solar Dragon, but I'm sure they'll be fine with it. Mini-mitch 19:52, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
