The Full wiki[[edit source]]
Hey, I've just sent a message off to Wikia about it, so hopefully I should find out something soon. Thanks for letting me know. Out of curiosity how did you find "The Full Wiki"? --Tangerineduel 14:43, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Reply about br[[edit source]]
Simple for design, it looks better than have the title crammed into the infobox. It worked for 'Children of Earth' so I rolled it out onto pages that have longer titles. Mini-mitch 20:11, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

The Full Wiki - reply[[edit source]]
Hey, sorry, yes I did get a reply from Wikia central. (I just found it in amongst a bunch of emails, I got it on the 21st July) anyways here's the content of the reply:
Thanks for contacting Wikia. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Right now, the best thing to do would be to ask them to properly attribute it under the terms of CC-BY-SA. The easiest way for them to do this is to add a link to the original article and a link to the history page (thereby attributing all authors) on the talk page of the article(s) with unattributed content. If that doesn't work, feel free to let us know and we'll see what we can do. Thanks! -- Best regards, Brandon Rhea Wikia Community Support Helper
I haven't contacted them as yet. I've just been looking around, on many pages the now state "From TARDIS Index File, the free Doctor Who reference." but that's it as far as attribution that I can find. It's also not just this wiki's content, but also other wikias and Wikipedia's content.
If you want to contact them to inform them of this, I'm happy for you to. Alternatively if you wish I'll contact them. Though I'm considering posting this on the Wikia Community Forums just so we can see if this is really wikia wide and whether a community wide effort or what should be done. --Tangerineduel 13:28, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
- Just to keep you informed, I just sent a message off to The Full Wiki, I'll keep you updated if I get anything back from them. --Tangerineduel 14:39, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
Being unfair[[edit source]]
Please stop trying to delete my page about LUCIE JONES
River/Rory forum[[edit source]]
Can you answer the point in the River/Rory thread? I'm very interested in seeing your point. --203.168.176.42 13:55, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
The Howling discussions[[edit source]]
There is something of a fine line between heated discussion and negative comments. It may be that I'm looking at the threads from the outside and skimming them somewhat, but they seem heated and somewhat rash, but I don't see any really offensive comments or personal attacks, if they're around and made by any user, please show me and I'll intercede.
The Howling is one place that I really don't have a lot of time for, (dislike may be too strong a word), but it's not my favourite part of the wiki. So any issues there you'll need to point them out to me. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 15:34, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
Section stub[[edit source]]
Great! I will use this from now on, I will still use a TV stub etc, but it will be easier to User to identify what section(s) is/are stub(s) now one. I may start putting the section stub across the stub page tomorrow. Cheers Mini-mitch 18:49, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
New policies[[edit source]]
Hey, just thought I'd inform you of a few new policies I've recently added; Tardis:Discussion policy, Tardis:No personal attacks and Tardis:Blocking policy. Hopefully this will help to frame user's responses and inform users on the forums and talk pages. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 16:41, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
So...are you acknowledging that your River Song Series 6 "theory" is wrong? You can't explain it, right? Then stop spamming the forum by posting the whole thing over and over again across threads asking people to agree with you. --222.166.181.246 06:40, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Vandalisms in the Howling[[edit source]]
Please note that your previous responses such as "There's an IP who you totally don't want to hear you having said that.... The Thirteenth Doctor 12:42, August 1, 2010 (UTC) " in the thread Series 6 things are inappropriate to the discussion forums. This forum is not to be used for general discussion, 'what/who is your favourite' discussions, personal discussions or off-topic discussions that do not directly concern this wiki and its content. You could also refer to the Tardis:Discussion policy which states that
*Forums, blogs must be on-topic - This means they must discuss something related to the wiki, whether it be an internal continuity issue, new material that is yet to be broadcast or published, or discussing potential changes to the wiki.
*
:*Article talk pages must be relate to the editing of the article - Discussions on an article's talk page must relate to the editing of the article not the narrative features of the article.
--222.166.181.213 10:09, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
It is clearly shown that you were off-topic with no intention of contributing to the thread. You should note that the forum is 'not to be used for general discussion.
You have also recently undo an edit on 203.168.176.42's talk page, where another has been asked to edit, without permission, "altering, editing or rewriting another user's comments is considered vandalism."
You should note that the Howling was never intended to be used for off-topic general dicussion as it has always been clearly stated on The Howling. You should also note that you have been warned on numerous occasions both in the forum and on your talk page. --222.166.181.11 13:56, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
The Howling.[[edit source]]
Hey, can you quickly go trough The Howling and put the deletion tag on any pages I may have missed. Cheers. Mini-mitch 14:16, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
- The ones I've not put for deletion, just to check if they are within the Howling rules. I don't have time at this moment to finished what I started yesterday. Thanks Mini-mitch 15:19, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Vandalisms On Other Users' Talk Page[[edit source]]
This is the third time you have been warned to stop undoing edits on 203.168.176.42's talk page without permission, "altering, editing or rewriting another user's comments is considered vandalism." Your constant vandalisms on users' talk page and non-contributing posts to threads in the Howling will not be tolerated on TARDIS Index File. --222.166.181.237 14:44, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Changing user's user pages etc Re:Location infobox[[edit source]]
Thought I'd reply here rather than on the forum as the subject's essentially closed (and wasn't sure if you'd still keep an eye on it). It is allowable within the Tardis:Vandalism policy to make minor changes to a user's user page to make the wiki run smoother, these minor changes include removing categories that are placed in error on a user's page, changing article names (following a move or to remove redirects) or de-linking articles. You did the right thing alerting the user to the fact on their user page, but as they've not been active for some time it would have been alright to also de-link the link to the infobox and not why in the edit summary. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 14:06, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Okay[[edit source]]
Okay, sorry for removing your delete tag, but I don't see any reason why you put it there.
Very well, can give the chance to change it, instead of you deleting it straight away?
What did I do?[[edit source]]
Exscuse me but I not exactly sure what I did in reply to your message last week about rumours. Please can you tell me so that I can either learn from my mistakes or change my password in-case someone is hacking my account. Thank you. Ghastly9090 17:25, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
Are you sure?[[edit source]]
So there is nothing we can do to save my page from being deleted? Are you sure there is nothing what so ever? Nothing at all?
Missing something[[edit source]]
Thanks for your advice, but whats your unamed space? I've never heard of it.
Thank you[[edit source]]
Thanks for telling me, and yes I would definatly like you to move it there.
Torchwood[[edit source]]
No, Steven Moffat has said that he will follow the same pattern as RTD, but he strongly implied about the number of stories he is writing. Where is the evidence that shows it was about what stories he's writing for where to be placed. -- Michael Downey 15:53, August 7, 2010 (UTC)
Well all that says to me is basically he's following the same pattern that russel does when it comes to how many episodes there writing. Therefore this information is speculative and should be removed. If it can't stay for the torch wood page then it won't stay for Series 6. -- Michael Downey 16:11, August 7, 2010 (UTC)
Check edits histories[[edit source]]
Hi, be sure to double check edit histories before warning users, the Rise of the Cybermen recent edit by an IP editor and Revanvolatrelundar for example. The IP editor added the copied Wikipedia plot, Revanvolatrelundar was merely the next editor who edited it. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 12:53, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
hi pleace leve feedback Coxrb001 06:03, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
You still need to check the edits made on the Eighth Doctor page, as like you i was trying to fit what was already on the page to the manual of style and it was not me who put the wrong tense words on there in the first place. Revanvolatrelundar 14:42, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
now you pointed out which edits i can see where i went wrong, i just presumed you meant the majority of edits on the page i attempted to clean up from another user and then left while i went out. Revanvolatrelundar 17:42, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
RE: Disambiguation[[edit source]]
Hi There - I kind of realised I needed to instigated a move but I wasn't sure exactly how to do it or who to ask... Thats why I did it in a funny way... Could you possibly tell me? =] --The Brig 20:46, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! Will help in the future! --The Brig 20:49, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
Fish custard reply[[edit source]]
I am a doctor who fan. I am not vandalising, if I am I'm sorry. I am spreading my opinion about things, suggesting things, and if I want to protect my favorite episodes I can. If you delete everyones edit, then why do you have and "Edit this page" button in the first place
bow ties[[edit source]]
why sould the page be deleted
Solar/Stellar System[[edit source]]
Hey there, just wanted to clarify that there's no disrespect intended over our current disagreement on the whole "solar/stellar system" thing on the Vincent and the Doctor page. You're of course right that "solar" implies "Sol", which in turn means the system surrounding our specific star. However, the term solar system has been used for a long time colloquially (and in the past time, even scientifically) to be a synonym for stellar system. To call it a production error seems kind of like calling grammatical errors in dialogue production errors. Although not technically accurate, there's no dramatic reason to consider it an error. A closer analogy might be when someone uses the term "world" to refer to something other than just one planet, or of course how "constellation" and "galaxy" seem to have different colloquial meanings in the Whoniverse.
Again, no disrespect intended. Just an honest disagreement which I'd be happy to discuss further :) Spreee 23:11, August 18, 2010 (UTC)Spreee
Yup, I get that solar isn't technically accurate today. But there was a time when it was, and today is still colloquially fine. Given we're talking about a piece of alien tech from unknown origin, it doesn't seem an issue to me that it uses the term in a way that's not currently accepted. Presumably, it's meant to be us just seeing a Doctor/TARDIS translation anyway from some other unknown language. It seems a valid translation, especially when the term is used in context. Avatar images[[edit source]]
I've sent off a message to wikia central as from what I could gather from the wikia community central forums to delete an avatar is a staff/helper ability. Thanks for advising me of this, things with wikia central often get resolved quickly, though sometimes there is a little bit of lag between message and action. --Tangerineduel 14:43, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- It's been done, image has been deleted. --Tangerineduel 13:09, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
Torchwood Wiki[[edit source]]
Hey, I was aware that Trikster87 had created another wiki and noted as such on his user page in April. You can have a browse through of the Community Central:Creation policy-duplicate wikis info about duplicate wikis, according to Community Central:Closed Wikia if it's been inactive for several months it may be closed by staff. Though I'd note this portion of it "there is no urgency or set schedule for doing so", so you may encounter some resistance in a request to close the wiki.
I believe contacting Wikia (using the contact link right at the bottom of any pages, down underneath the Wiki promos) would be the best course of action, as you've followed Trikster87's endeavours, you could send a message off to them. I'm don't believe this needs an admin's endorsement with regards to these things, but if it does I'll send off a message if you get a reply requiring it. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 14:38, August 21, 2010 (UTC)
lol[[edit source]]
yes sir lol
Sorry[[edit source]]
Sorry Sir :'(
Past tense?[[edit source]]
Why must all articles be in past tense? Boiled sweets ARE an Earth confectionary, they still are, even in the DW universe. Also I was'nt speculating, Ive seen numerous pages hinting what may happen in Doctor Whos future (e.g rumours)

How do I add the sources?

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]
As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.
This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!
We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.
2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
