V2 rocket

V2 rockets were used by Nazi Germany during the Second World War, mainly during 1944. Following the V1 flying bomb, they acted as an "improved" replacement for the Luftwaffe's Blitz campaign to bomb Great Britain's cities, primarily London. (PROSE: Illegal Alien) In practice though, this was contentious notably because they failed to cause the mass scaled damage many Germans thought them capable of doing. The Seventh Doctor noted that the German rocketry capabilities were far in advance of anything the Allies had achieved in the field. He claimed this gave Germany an advantages that could have potentially turned the tide of the war.
