Varish was an old friend of the Sixth Doctor. He invited him to the memory farm to help them in their investigation of Garius Moro. He wanted to make sure that the investigation had been conducted fairly. She was accused of murdering a chef but was later murdered herself. (AUDIO: Memories of a Tyrant)
